The World's Most Nutrient Dense Food May Already Be in Your Cabinet

image13.png

What if we told you there was such a food that grows on earth that is vegan, paleo, keto, endorsed by the United Nations as the answer to world hunger AND endorsed by NASA as the most nutrient dense food in the world?

Not to mention that this food is scientifically proven to strengthen your immune system, reduce aging/chronic disease, remove heavy metals, repair RNA/DNA, provide natural energy, AND boost the health of your skin and hair…

And what if we also told you this super food was the most eco-friendly, sustainable crop in the world?

You’d want to know, right?

drumroll…

It’s ALGAE.

The field of epigenetics has proven that our health and DNA are directly impacted by what we eat—in other words, our food literally speaks to our cells. However, over the last fifty years our food has become stripped of nutrients, our soil has become lifeless, our oceans have become polluted.

The coronavirus is a wake-up call for us to treat our bodies and our environment better. We need to say no to more chemicals, clean up our earth, eat more nutrient dense food and care for ourselves and our environment better. In short - we need more self-care and earth-care. And algae can help with both.

So what exactly is algae?

Algae is a plant. It has grown on earth for over 4 billion years and is a multi-billion-dollar agricultural crop in Asia. Algae is so safe and nutrient dense, it’s fed to newborns in Japan to keep them alive if they can’t digest mother’s breast milk. This may be partly explained by the fact that the amino acid profile of spirulina algae is virtually identical to mother’s milk).

Who backs up these claims?

Algae’s pedigree is impressive. It is endorsed by prestigious organizations like Carnegie Institute, Rockefeller Institute, United Nations and NASA.  In 1974 the United Nations even held a global conference on spirulina algae and hailed it as the answer to world hunger. NASA also endorses algae and says “one kg of spirulina algae has the nutritional equivalent of 1,000 kg of fruits and vegetables” in other words, algae has a thousand times more nutrition than anything else.  Wow.

But wait, I definitely DON’t have algae hanging around in my cabinet…

You might be more familiar with the names of the two main types of algae: spirulina and chlorella.

Spirulina

You may know about this one from your favorite juice bar. Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is world recognized for its unmatched nutrient profile. Spirulina has been used for decades for energy, focus and hunger. Spirulina is an energizing algae that contains over forty vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, essential fatty acids. Amazingly, it contains 64% protein, the highest concentration of protein in the world (three times the protein as steak) [1]

Chlorella

Chlorella, a green algae, is world recognized for its wellness abilities, medicinal properties [4] and its ability to remove heavy metals like mercury, lead and radiation [5]. Chlorella also has the highest concentration of chlorophyll in the world (200 x more chlorophyll than spinach and even more than liquid chlorophyll). Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants and its chemical composition is virtually identical to hemoglobin (red blood cells).

Chlorophyll is so essential for a strong immune system, cleansing your body and helping to reduce or prevent chronic disease [6] that during WW II when they ran out of blood for blood transfusions, the injured were given liquid chlorophyll and they healed just as fast. Say WHAT?

Sustainability

Algae is as good for Mother Earth as it is for you. It is the most eco-friendly, sustainable crop in the world, and also quite possibly the safest, NON-GMO food in the world.

  • It uses less water than any other crop (it uses just one tenth of the water of traditional crops and 80-times less water than cattle farming [25].

  • It protects the air and land by generating 200 times more protein per acre than cattle ranching [26]

  • It releases so much oxygen to the air that it provides over 80% of oxygen on earth.

  • It helps slow the deterioration of the ozone layer [27] by capturing carbon dioxide while it grows. In fact, algae is so efficient at producing oxygen that scientists are considering on using it for oxygen production on Mars [28]

  • It protects our oceans and is the original source of Omega-3 (yup even fish get their Omega-3 from algae). You can help save our oceans by taking algae for your Omega-3 instead of fish oil  [29].  Our oceans are being overfished which results in dead zones so if you want to help preserve the ocean’s eco-system and support sustainable farming, algae is your answer!
